IPOH: A religious school teacher was among four people detained by the police here in connection with possession of T-shirts promoting an illegal assembly scheduled for July 9 in Kuala Lumpur.
The four, aged between 19 and 40, were picked up in a raid at a shophouse in Kuala Kangsar, about 45km from here yesterday.
This brings to 18, the total number of people detained in Perak since Monday, for wearing and distributing T-shirts promoting the rally.
State criminal investigation department chief Datuk Dzuraidi Ibrahim said yesterday, the suspects were stamping logos on t-shirts, pertaining to the illegal rally, when the police raided the premises about 10am. — Bernama
